LOVE IN A MORIBUND WORLD (VALENTINE LOVE POEMS) DAY 2 Features Ogedengbe Tolulope & Seun Alaka

TONIGHT

Tonight,
I pluck out of the sky twinkling stars
To weave them into rhythmic rhymes
That echo sweet melodies of love.

Tonight,
I wrap words in a pleasant piece
To puff like smoke from my mouth
Till they diffuse into your heart's stream.

Tonight,
I whisper soft endearments on the breeze
For you to heed the sighing wind
And welcome my words to your heart.

Tonight,
I come to seduce you with words
Fuel your passion with exotic ecstasy
Till you are cuddled to your bliss.

     DOWNSTREAM

A beauteous maiden bathing at downstream
So charming as the mid-night stars that beam
The fragrance on her body could heal pains
She rubs her oily smooth skin while it rains

Her beauty washed the wealth of Atlantis
Engagement oath proposed by the high seas
In barter with valuables of the soil
The flowers produced vegetable oil

Like a flowing stream strong emotions flow
From vessels to master gland of my soul
Downstream,I'd rather we did reside
And build a tranquil kingdom;place of pride
For thorough love exchange like turtle dove
With pleasantness of soft calls, birds of love

Seun Alaka is a poet
