LOVE IN A MORIBUND WORLD (VALENTINE LOVE POEMS) DAY 9 Features Oko Owi Ocho Afrika & Oyinkansola Adesewa

FRAGRANCE FROM A WEEDED GARDEN

My heart rains cataract
And my eyes pave streams
Through my cheeks to paddle
The boat of pain you sailed
Into my heart.

I cry dry cry in memory of
Our fragrance in garden of love.
How you planted thousand grains
Of butterfly in vast acres of
My loamy heart.

In our bountiful period of love
You planted and watered our
Love with watering can of your
Lips. Your spittle and the beam
From your eyes bloomed love.

But today?
I inhale scents of flowers
From a weeded garden.
Melodies of music from a
Deserted concert.

I count stars during days.
Every page of our story
Is now written in tense past,
Time pass and I still have scars
Of your love whirling around.

WHAT LOVE IS

A strong cord is where love lies
Embrace it always, in your heart
Love, a feeling that makes you grow
Love, a feeling that makes you conquer
Love, something so perfect
           Flawless
Love, something that once you have.
You will never want to leave.
Love everyday
In it is the happiness you desire.
