LOVE IN A MORIBUND WORLD (VALENTINE LOVE POEMS) DAY 5 - Features Vivian Belford & Uwandu Chioma Esther

FOR YOU

This half moon
Is the shape of hearts
Left to ponder
Where the other half is
This half moon
Are moribund hearts
Left to wander dark eerie clouds
Alone on their own

Lies rising at sunrise
Dragging me down to mourn at dawn
The torture of truth not told
Left this heart, brittle
In halves of doubt with doubts
The aches of vows not preserved
has held this frail soul
Hostage by half-truths and lies

But
For you, I will stand the sting with bliss
For you, I will sneer the sorrow with smirk
For you, I will hop this hopeless hush with hope
For you, dear child
This mother will always believe in love

 I LOVE YOU

I love you
Without reasons
I love you
Without pretense
I love you
Without sense
I love you
Without knowing why...

I want to love you more
Until the moon turns red
I want to love you more
Until the sun darkens
I want to love you more
Until all reasons give way
I want to love you more
Until you immortalize my name
On the walls of your heart
I want to love you more
Until every high mountain becomes low
Until every hill becomes plain
Until waters flow in the deserts
Until life itself gives way
I want to love you more
Until I lose myself in you
I want to love you more
Until love's end
And since love has no end
I want to love you till the end of time...
